January 4th, 2005 Celebrate the First World Hypnotism Day

(PRWEB) December 7, 2004

As more and more people are taking care of and responsibility for their own health, world wide, so the recognition for complimentary protocols such as hypnosis is getting higher. Canadian Representative Dr. Georgina Cannon, Director of the Ontario Hypnosis School and Clinic is spearheading initiatives to bring Hypnosis to the world and to heighten awareness of the benefits of hypnosis.

Her mission is to demystify concepts of Hypnosis we may have picked up from movies or parties where it seems a person has no control. Cannon says, “If I could hypnotize anyone at will, I’d hypnotize Brad Pit. That’s not an accurate portrayal of hypnosis. A person is actually more aware when under hypnosis than normally and is fully cognizant of his or her surroundings.”

Hypnotism is safe and effective intervention for a variety of motivational, self-improvement and goal setting situations. It is natural and free of side effects, when performed by a certified competent professional practitioner the results are long lasting and often permanent. It is important to note that no one can be hypnotized against their will and no one can be forced to do things while under hypnosis that they do not want to do.
